How do I enroll?

We make enrollment convenient, quick and easy!  Forget the lengthy admissions process. We offer three ways to enroll:

1. Enroll by Phone

Call us at 347-220-8181.

Office hours are Monday - Thursday 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Friday, Saturday and Sunday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

2. Complete the Online Registration Form

The enrollment information form is readily available on our website. Since the process can begin online, there's no need to print and mail anything back to us. Once you press the submit button, we'll receive your information and one of our staff will contact you.

3. Walk-in Registration

You are welcome to visit us. We are located in New York City at 45 West 34th St, between 5th Avenue and Broadway. The Manhattan Institute is on the 6th floor. Our staff is always happy to speak with you during our school hours, but we recommend you make an appointment.

Do I need a High School Diploma or GED to enroll?

Only for the Medical Assistant Program. For all other programs, if you do not have a High School Diploma or GED, you can take an entrance exam.

What documents/identification do I need to enroll?

Not all programs require the same documentation, but be prepared to provide the following:

1. Government-issued photo Identification (driver license, non-driver ID, passport).

2. Original copy of High School Diploma, GED, Official HS transcript with raised seal, or letter from high school with raised seal.**

For some programs, if you do not have or cannot find your High School Diploma, we will give you an entrance exam.

3. If applicable, an original copy of College or University Diploma or an official transcript from University or College showing you have graduated.** If you are currently attending a college or university, an official transcript which states you have presented to them completion of High School or GED, to meet their entrance requirements.

If you are under 18, we will need the signature of your parent or guardian on the enrollment agreement.
**Foreign High School, College, University diplomas and transcripts should be accompanied by an official translation.

Do I have to pay the tuition all at once?

No. Students initially pay a registration fee, which is part of the total tuition. Then we work out a weekly payment schedule for the rest of the tuition. Students in our Medical Assistant Program may also qualify for financial aid.

Is financial aid available?

Yes, financial aid is available for students in our Medical Assistant and Personal Fitness Trainer Programs (if they qualify). Our school prides itself on the individual attention and personal service provided by our Financial Aid Office. To learn more about financial aid, call us at 347-220-8181 to schedule an appointment. Can out-of-state students study in your school?

Yes, we have many out-of-state students at the Manhattan Institute. We do not charge out-of-state students a higher tuition. Our Midtown Manhattan location makes it easy for students from the Tri-State area: Long Island, Westchester, New Jersey and even Connecticut and Eastern Pennsylvania.

Can foreign students study in your school?

Yes, the Manhattan Institute is approved to accept foreign students and can help you obtain an I-20 student visa if you qualify. We do not charge foreign students higher tuition.

Is the Manhattan Institute a college or university?

We are a NYS licensed and nationally accredited career school. Our classes are career-focused and feature both classroom and practical education. The Manhattan Institute is not a college or university.

Do you provide housing?

No, the Manhattan Institute does not provide student housing at this time. Students from outside the Greater New York City area will find this website helpful: http://www.heartsandminds.org/housing.htm
